Brexit/Border Issues in the United Kingdom

MI are updating our customers on a daily basis relating to current issues with stocks coming in from Europe to the UK. Please note this is an ever changing situation by the hour.

Our delivery service in to the Republic of Ireland with our courier partner DPD has a current delay of 3-4 days with deliveries scheduled to resume on Wednesday 13th January. This is due to the exceptional number of parcels being sent by companies with DPD with incorrect paperwork .

We have temporarily halted our services to Europe and Rest of the World whilst we work with our delivery partners and we overcome the daily challenges of cross border deliveries. All UK and Republic of Ireland is unaffected by this currently.

Throughout the past quarter, we have been increasing our stocks significantly with a strong plan in action with increased stock visibility.

Online customers can still access the UK's largest Carhartt stockholding here and avoid any delays with immediate delivery. All items are marked as 24 hour despatch.

Our most up to date information on our main brands is as follows.

Carhartt - 5 days delay, but with all top lines available on 24 hour despatch.

Mascot - 5-10 days delays.

Ultimate - No delays.

Helly Hansen - Serious delays on all orders. Delivery on Helly Hansen orders that you have placed will be towards end of January. Helly products are now not avaiable to order until 20th January.

Caterpillar - No delays.

Puma - No delays.

Dr Martens - No delays.

Snickers - Delay of ten days currently, but this is being rectified and any orders for Snickers placed with us, should be despatched within the next 8 business days.

Portwest - No delays.

Rockfall - No delays.

Amblers - No delays.

Uneek - No delays.

Dassy - No delays.

Fruit of the Loom - No delays.

Regatta - No delays.

Our 700+ strong range of footwear here and our partner brand Portwest remains unaffected, giving our customers options on over 1,500 styles of footwear and apparel. Furthermore our premium CAT range of clothing is unaffected here.

We have seen for the past 3-4 months longer than usual delays on products from most garment manufacturers. This is caused by the first main global lockdown in Spring/Summer which resulted in factories closed, hence delayed deliveries of Autumn/Winter stocks. We have been extremely pleased of our flexible and quick actions to switch sell on brands and garments to keep our customers supplied and clothed.

Our main partner brands in Europe are anticipating delays of up to 10-15 days of orders due in to the UK and to us, for the start of January. We will update on a regular basis, as to how this is working. This was always strongly muted, but the Covid situation has made this further complicated.

Updates will be provided on a regular basis by MI, ensuring our customers are fully aware of all potential issues. Further updates can be found here at DPD and the news channel at BBC.
