Covid Guidelines at MI - November 2020

Covid Guidelines at MI - November 2020

We at MI Supplies have been proud to support our customers, employees and suppliers throughout 2020 and our challenging times. A very stressful time for all involved.

Following the Government's new guidelines from 5th November 2020, we would like to confirm our plans in place, guidelines, and internal measures.

MI have been fully operational throughout the past 8 months, with very little disruption to our customers. This we anticipate should remain so during the coming four week period. We have increased our numbers of staff to improve delivery times and adjusted employee daily hours to assist with social distancing.

Due to varying changes in our internal systems, more scanning, less human involvement we have seen us increase our delivery speed across the board throughout 2020 and we continue to look to improve this aspect of our business.

Regardless of new government guidelines on furlough we are not currently looking to reduce our staff count or furlough staff - in fact, it is the opposite.

Our warehouse and offices have been set up for increased social distancing since February and we continually adjust further to keep our staff safe. All staff are temperature tested every day.

We are now starting to see regular examples of delays of items from our supplier chain. This is expected due to numerous factories closed globally throughout a long period in Mar-June 2020, delaying incoming deliveries that would have been expected in September. We are working closely with our supplier chain to mitigate any issues to our customers.

We have regularly increased our stock holding throughout 2020 on critical PPE items such as masks, sanitiser, coveralls and disposable gloves and this will remain so during the coming months.

Our existing supply chain has proved to be exceptional during this period, and our long term partnerships with some of the world's leading brands has been beneficial in ensuring order requirements across all sectors of business and emergency services has been managed well.

Shopping online could not be easier with our market leading site, offering the best returns policy in our industry of 365 days.

Pricing on certain critical PPE items is still unfortunately on the rise for the foreseeable future, but we are in regular contact with our customers to advise them of the time to buy and plan.

I would like to thank all our employees, customers and suppliers for their unwavering support during 2020 and I wish everyone good health and a much, much brighter 2021!
