The Leo Workwear Lynton vest has transitioned to recycled polyester made from recycled plastic bottles (3 bottles in every vest). Compared to using virgin oil-derived polyester the new version saves on CO2 emissions, energy emissions and water consumption.
In 2024, our partner brand Leo Workwear appointed Green Story to carry out a lifecycle assessment (LCA) on the Lynton waistcoat, their 3rd party verified data shows that for each Lynton purchased::
- 0.6kg CO2 avoided
- 5.2kWh energy saved
- 0.22kg waste diverted
- 9.6l water saved
This is the equivalent to:
- 2.31km of driving emissions avoided
- 520 hours of lighting an LED bulb
- 5.05 days of drinking water
