The finalists for the Teesside heat of the North East Business Awards have been revealed.
The awards celebrate the best and most inspiring companies in the North-east, with the Teesside ceremony kicking off three area heats before a grand final later in the year.
Organised by The Gazette and our Tyneside sister paper, The Journal, the awards are held in association with the North East Chamber of Commerce.
The Teesside heat will take place at Teesside University’s Olympia Building on February 25, with later heats taking place in Tyneside and Northumberland, followed by Durham, Wearside and South Tyneside. The regional final takes place at Hardwick Hall near Sedgefield on April 21.
Finalists have been selected in 11 categories, with a shortlist of three in each category.
Last year technology firm Visualsoft won the prize for company of the year on Teesside, while a number of category winners from the Tees Valley went on to take the overall prizes at the regional finals.
Companies nominated this year include some of the stalwarts of the Teesside business scene - including ElringKlinger, Nifco and AV Dawson - while a number of newer and smaller firms are also vying for recognition.
